Dial-Ema Mystic Dial 1940’s rare

Winning Bid: $311.00

This is rare prop. The instructions say it is the only time such a principle has been used up to that point I think I would agree.   Cards are selected and put around a circular clock type wooden prop.  The spectators are told to remember one of the cards. The back is turned and the performer sets the dial to a prediction.  The spectator announces the card and when the clock is turned around the pointer is pointing to the selected card.

In the base of the “clock” is a set of rollers with a ribbon running through them As the clock is moved across the table the rollers and ribbon move turning the clock hand. It is just a mater of the Performer picking up the clock when the arrow is pointing to the named card!  Amazing! The arrow moves and the trick can be performed but I would say the mechanism needs some adjustment to work smoothly.  It is being sod as a rare collectible piece of magic.. With instructions.  Stands 18 inches tall without cards. I do not know the maker.  Doc Mossey Collection.
