Eli’s Die Box

Winning Bid: $65.00

This is wood painted black. It is the exact same size as the Thayer but I do not know for sure the maker.

The effect is The spectator puts three dice and the lid is placed on.  The spectator notes the numbers on the dice and writes them down. The magician puts the box behind his back and shakes it mixing the dice.   The spectator is asked to remove the lid (while still behind the performers back) and writes those three numbers down. The lid is put back on and the box is handed to the spectator.  The spectator is asked to roll the dice from the box and to write the three resulting numbers down.  The magician then announces a perdition number. When the spectator adds the numbers up the magician is correct!

I would estimate this 1940’s. It is from the collection of Doc Mossey. Sent with Thayer instructions. Good condition as shown.

Estimate $100-200
