Latest Vanishing Alarm Clock: Rare This should be in an Abbott Museum! 1940

I knew Martinka made a version of this but I did not know Abbott did!  The vanishing clock splits into two pieces allowing the tray to be very thin! The clocks are held together but a very sturdy brass hinge and a small pin in the “ringer” part of the clock A light movement of the tray or touch of the clocks collapses them. There is a clock fake in the cloth and get this: there is a working wind up ringer hidden it the cloth as well!  An incredible piece of Abbott manufacturing history. No instructions but we found the original catalogue ad! the tray is 11.5 inches square and the clock 4.5 inches in diameter.
