Merv Taylor Spirit Barrell: a centerpiece for any collection
This were made in very small quantities as they were very expensive when sold new. It is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and I would think Merv Taylor’s crowning achievement. I looked for one for 10 years before buying mine at Prentice Taylor’s Potter auction. I paid over $2,000 4 years ago.
As luck sometimes happens I have acquired another. This one from the Clayton Jacobson collection. It is complete and in near perfect condition (yes it has the final black art load gimmick). A very rare item. Original instructions included!
