Thayer Coin In Ball of Yarn: Vintage prop circa 1930

This is an old prop that I am quite sure is Thayer. Identified from the construction, the hardware and the color.  This one has unusual brass ball feet.  The gimmick is there to load the ball of yarn with the coin.  The prop is well used as you can see but still a great example of they don’t build them like they used too!  The finish is cracking on the top and bottom.  There is no key. The largest box is 6×5.5×6 inches.
