The Croquet Trick by George Richbark (Douglas Wayne Illusioneering)

I believe there were only 25 of these made.  It is a wonderful effect based upon Thayer’s Croquet Trick of the 1930’s but using different methodology.

In essence the mallet head (after being removed form the mallet) and the balls trade places inexplicably under three well marked tubes. Looks simple but a lot going on here including the gimmicked stand! The props are wonderfully made and it makes a great performable item or a wonderful display.  It is in excellent condition and has seen little if any use.

The tray is 19.25x12x3.75 inches. Balls are two inches.
