Great effect. The center panels of a golden gate are hinged down to show a solid center. They are raised back up. Two drawers are opened each containing a Chinese coin. They are shown otherwise empty and closed. The coins are placed one at a time between the two panels in the center of the gate. The magician then lowers the panels and the coins have vanished. The drawers are opened and the coins have returned!
