A glass is covered with a handkerchief and given to a spectator to hold. A coin is made to vanish and at the magician’s command the coin is heard to drop into the glass. The handkerchief is removed and the spectator finds the coin in the glass. Everything can now be examined. It is mechanical but the mechanics are added in and taken away logically within the routine.
