Erdnase-Train Table by Tabman sold through Busby

Erdnase-Type Train Table. Tennessee: Tabman, ca. 2000. Approximates the look of the table used by Erdnase to pose for the illustrations used in his book on card artifice. Green wool covering, one side padded, rounded hardwood frame. Approx. 26 x 26”.

There is a lip on one side of the table to keep cards from sliding off. This was sold through Jeff Busby.  Tabman made many of Jeff’s early props. The wood is beautiful with rounded corners.  It almost glows.

We are including a waiters stand which can be sued to turn the table into a close up table or a street performers table as we don’t expect this to be used by train riders resting on the lap.  This makes it not only beautiful but useful even for cups and balls etc. as the lip onthe performance side keeps items from rolling off.
