Magic Authoer Lewis Ganson was a talented painter in in spare time as documented in “Magigram” by Supreme Magic in the “Lewis Ganson Memorial Issue of April 1981.

This iconic portrait of Nate Leipzig is a rendition from the front cover of Ganson’s book “Dai Vernon’s Tribute to Nate Leipzig”.  It was painted circa 1975.

Will Ayling was very close friends with Lewis Ganson as both had been founding members of the Portsmouth & District Magic Circle (April 1938) and he acquired this portrait upon Ganson’s death in 1980.
