Magic History: IBM Membership Acceptance Letter to John Mulholland signed by Durbin 1927

Winning Bid: $190.00

This is the original IBM Membership acceptance letter to John Mulholland which was authored and signed by W.W. Durbin on March 31, 1927.  Mulholland was 29 years old.  Mulholland led an amazing magical life (see Wikipedia here) and for us collectors was one of the prominent magic collectors of all time. His collection is the nucleus of David Copperfield’s International Museum and Library of the Conjuring Arts in Las Vegas. Mulholland was Editor of the Sphinx, close friend of Houdini, Member of the Magic Circle and worked for the CIA. Quite a life.

The letter welcomes Mulholland to the IBM and speaks of the 1927 Convention coming up in June which was the second IBM convention ever held.

See the photos for condition.  An important document in Magic and collecting history.
