This is a magnificent example of the Okito Tea Canister Mystery. It is a bit of a puzzle as Norm did put out his own Tea Canister set in the last few years but this is not that set. That set does not come with the stand and fishbowl and is made of light gauge material. There is no doubt Norm decorated this so it is one of two things: a very early version from Norm or an original that Norm decorated. I tend to think it is an original as I know of no item where Norm produced something with turned wood involved.
The stand matches the original Okito so my detective work says this is an original decorated by Norm. In any event in is one of the most stunning magic props you could own and can be the centerpiece of your collection.
I HAVE JUST CONFIRMED THAT THIS IS INDEED AN ORIGINAL SET OF OKITO TEA CANISTERS DECORATED BY NORM NIELSEN.
