The The Society of Osiris Magicians formed officially on April 6, 1923 and incorporated in Maryland was founded by Thomas Worthington in March of 1924.  Worthington adored Thurston and his Birth and Death Dates are on the front cover at the bottom of the  cup.  The Society of Osiris Magicians held many banquets and were famous for the novelty programs.  This particular program was memory night honoring those who had passed.

John J. and Hanna M. McManus presented their magic collection to the Library of Congress in 1955. John McManus, New York attorney and president of Rolls-Royce’s American affiliate, and his wife also assembled a collection of magic paraphernalia which they donated to the Ringling Museums in Sarasota, Florida. It was this part of The McManus Collection that later was to make up much of the Klosterman collection.
