After showing a group of cards representing flags of many nations a spectator selects one and it is shuffled back into the packet. The magician takes Thunderstaff also known as “The Magic Flag Pole” and brings it up over the cards. One card attaches itself and when the pole is lifted the selected flag is the one that raised!
