Description
The magician starts with a simple bowl, sitting upside down on a table, and a fan (or wand). He turns the bowl upright to reveal a red cloth tomato underneath. Picking up the tomato, he turns the bowl upside down again, and places the tomato in his right palm, closing his hand. He uses the fan to first tap the hand, then the bowl (double tap), and when he opens his hand the tomato has disappeared! He turns the bowl over to show the tomato is magically back underneath. He repeats this sequence, this time pocketing the tomato, and again shows the tomato has reappeared under the bowl.
He next picks up the tomato, places it in the middle of the table, and with a sawing motion of his middle finger, splits the tomato into two separate tomatoes identical in size and shape to the original. He picks up one of these, and with a tearing motion, again splits that tomato into two whole tomatoes again identical to the original. Now there are three!
He next turns the bowl upside down, palms one of the three tomatoes, and slides the overturned bowl over his hand and onto the table as he opens his hand underneath, transferring the tomato to under the bowl. Tapping the bowl with the fan, he lifts the bowl to show the tomato underneath has disappeared. Reaching into his left pocket, he produces the missing tomato and places it back with the other two. He turns the bowl upside down and using one of the three tomatoes, repeats the first palming vanish to beneath the bowl. He then covers the tomato again with the bowl, palms another one, does the double tap, then opens his hand to again show the tomato has vanished. When he turns over the bowl, both tomatoes are there. He again covers these with the bowl, palms the last tomato, again lifts the bowl to show the two tomatoes are still there, covers them again, repeats the double tap, opens his hand to show the tomato has vanished, and turns the bowl over to show all three tomatoes underneath.
He now places all three tomatoes in a row across the table, pockets the one on the left, palms the middle one, does the double tap to again show the transfer under the bowl, covers the tomato again, and palms the last one with his right hand, transferring it to his left closed hand, and pocketing this one. He taps the overturned bowl with his fan, and when he turns over the bowl, all three tomatoes are revealed.
He then turns the bowl back over, while again spreading the three tomatoes in a row across the table. He taps the bowl with the fan, and when he turns the bowl over, there is now a single giant tomato underneath.
