Description
The PHANTOM CLOCK (originally marketed in Japan under the name Shock Clock) displays an illusion which has puzzled even expert magicians! The Phantom Clock is not just a clock, but a clock that performs an amazing trick every time the pendulum swings. A ghostly hand appears to levitate a card in midair. The Queen of Hearts seems suspended in space. The clock’s pendulum swings back and forth behind the Queen, proving that there can be no wire or other support coming from behind. No mirrors or glass, but an ingenious optical illusion as a pendulum swings behind the card eliminating any possible solution to the levitation. We see nothing except the hand of a magician holding the invisible corner of the card. How can the pendulum swing back and forth freely behind the card if it is supported from behind? Impossible! Has a portion of the pendulum been removed? If so, the bottom would fall into the base of the clock.
Created by Lubor Fiedler and produced by Tenyo, Lubor’s Phantom Clock is a practical timepiece that can be displayed on a table or mounted on the wall. This is a clock every magician will want on their desk. A light switch illuminates the pendulum box at night to create a dramatic, eerie effect.
