Unusual Unique Production box circa 1950

I have never quite seen anything like this. It is a black art production box but is unique in that an item can be loaded (signed item etc.) into the box opening it up for many possibilities.

The inner box can be removed form the outer box and shown empty (it has a false bottom that hinges up to allow access to the inner load chamber).  The outer box is obviously empty as it can be seen completely inside through the front of the box. Ok its sounding like a square circle which it kind of is but here is the twist to it. There are wooden panels all around (making the box viewable from all angles) but the rear one is spring loaded and can be opened from the rear  to place a load from outside the box into the inner box.! The inner load box is made to accept a load from the rear. If your like me you can think of several uses for this type access. The outer box is trimmed in aluminum and has feet elevating it from the table..

This belonged to a dear fried of mine and the box is shown in a newspaper article photo from Memphis Tennessee in 1955.  I will include the article. A unique vintage wel thought out item. The inner box is 11x6x6 and the outer box is12x8.5×8 inches.
