Vintage Thayer? Table: circa 1920

This was my friend Terry Harris’ (collector of al things Thayer).  We discussed this table a few times over the years. Terry was not sure it was Thayer I felt it was. It walked and talked like a duck so it must be a duck. Neither of us had ever seen another and that was Terry’s argument.  I acquired it after Terry’s passing. Fast forward a few years to my first trip through David Copperfield’s wonderful museum and there setting in the middle of what once was the Albo collection was the identical table!  I still do not know for sure if it is Thayer but I do now know it is a commercial table.  It is very early certainly no later than the 1930’s. Yes that is a big well there in the center.  It breaks totally down and the screw areas are are all turned wood.  34 inches tall with a 15 inch top.   A nice table!
